Statement on Governor’s Task Force on Climate Change Recommendations

Fair Rates for Wisconsin’s Dairyland (FRWD) issued a statement to thank the members of the Governor’s Task Force on Climate Change for its efforts to present a balanced report of recommendations to the Governor, Legislature and state agencies. Over the past year, the Task Force members have heard from stakeholders from around the state and discussed ways to mitigate the effects of climate change on Wisconsin and its economy.

Study Highlights Wisconsin Energy Producers’ $20 Billion Impact on Wisconsin’s Economy

A study from Fair Rates for Wisconsin’s Dairyland (FRWD) quantifies the economic impact of Wisconsin energy producers. Conducted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater’s Fiscal and Economic Research Center (FERC), the study finds that there are substantial direct, indirect, and induced effects on the economy from the state’s energy providers.
